Proposed Zone Lines for New
WCS Superintendent Dr. Mike Looney
will present the district's zoning recommendation for the new
Nolensville schools to the School Board at its April 17 work
session. Mill Creek Elementary, Mill Creek Middle
and Nolensville High schools are expected to open in the fall of
2016 and will share a campus off York Road.
At a community meeting April 10, Dr. Looney told parents he
plans to make some adjustments to the original proposal. Those
adjustments include recommending that the Brittain Downs
subdivision be zoned for Sunset Elementary, Sunset Middle and
Nolensville High schools.
According to the zoning parameters put in
place by the School Board at its March 24 meeting, Nolensville
High will open to only freshmen and sophomores. Slide #1
illustrates the current zones for Ravenwood High as well as the
district's zoning recommendation for Nolensville High; Slide #2
contains enrollment projections for both high schools; and Slide
#3 shows middle school feeder patterns for Nolensville High.
Mill Creek Middle
Mill Creek Middle will open
with sixth through eighth grades. Slide #4 illustrates the
current zones for Sunset Middle as well as the district's zoning
recommendation for Mill Creek Middle; Slide #5 contains
enrollment projections both Mill Creek and Sunset middle
schools; and Slide #6 shows elementary school feeder patterns
for Mill Creek Middle.
Mill Creek Elementary
Mill Creek Elementary will open with kindergarten through fifth
grades. Slide #7 illustrates the district's zoning
recommendation for Mill Creek, Nolensville and Sunset elementary
schools. Slide #8 contains enrollment projections for Mill
Creek, Nolensville and Sunset elementary schools.
