Welcome to Sunset Middle School where students come first!  I am very excited to be here and look forward to working with you.  This will be my second year at Sunset Middle.  We improved in many areas last year, especially in academics, and will continue to strive for excellence with our students as we go forward. I will also continue to build on the relationships that we have forged.  It is vital that we continue to build a binding partnership in the academic endeavors of our students.

My entire staff encourages excellence in education. We accomplish this by providing students an opportunity to engage in an edifying and supportive learning environment. The quality of education and the attention afforded each student is continuous, and we provide one of the richest and most robust curriculums in the state.  Our curriculum is challenging, integrative and allows students to explore different academic and extra-curricular interests prior to going to high school.  As a result of this relevant curriculum, we hope students are able to achieve academic success while on our campus.

Needless to say, your support as a parent or community partner is fundamental to our success as a school.  Although some middle school students say they don’t want their parents around, I have witnessed many students happy to have their parents take part in their formative years as they are figuring out who they are.  In many cases, I have seen that parents who remain involved in their children’s middle school years become well-adjusted and better prepared for life.  It is very simple, and I encourage you to remain actively involved in your children’s education and personal lives.

If you have any questions feel free to contact my front office staff or myself.
