2013-14 Varsity season has concluded.
The Varsity volleyball team had a successful year with a 22-8 record.  The lady warriors started out the season with key wins against Brentwood Academy, Hillsboro, and Sunset.  The team traveled to BGA to play in a weekend tournament that ended effectively with key win against Ensworth, BGA, Lipscomb, JT Moore, and Gainesville.  The warriors lost to Brentwood in the championship to seal second place!  The ladies also traveled to Spring Station for the Smash tournament which was a success!  The Varsity team had key wins against the Aces, the Tribe, Brentwood Academy, Heritage, Simmons, and dominating Page in the finals to win the championship of the Smash tournament.  The ladies concluded their season with a hard loss in the first round of the WMAA to Page.

2013-14 JV season has concluded.
The Lady Warriors JV volleyball team this season had  an amazing record of 16-1.  We worked well together, because we all played together before.  With a couple of adjustments, we worked very well this season.  Against Brentwood Middle, Freedom, Hillsboro and Sunset we played to the very best of our ability and won.  The first Grassland game we lost in three sets, but with hard work and determination we beat them the second time in two sets.  Overall, we had a great season with alot of ups and some downs!

2013-14 6th Grade Season:
The 6th grade volleyball team had an amazing first year playing for Woodland. After coming from different schools and learning to play together, we bonded as a team at camp in the summer and during the first few weeks of school. Our favorite game this year was against Grassland. We won the first set but fell short in the second. During the third set, we were down 8-14; we were one point away from losing the game. Luckily, Lydia Horky’s serving and our defense delivered eight straight points for the win! Overall, we went  8-7  and couldn’t think of a better way to start our first year of middle school. The members of the 6th grade team were Lydia Horky, Reilly Kocian, Valerie Orange, Ella Massey, Haley Galbreath, Annie DePhillips, Abby Cunningham, Brooke Morris & Sophie House.
